Hernando de Soto Bridge-Memphis, TN

Hernando de Soto Bridge:

The Hernando de Soto Bridge carries I-40 across the Mississippi River. Shot from Memphis during an assignment for Mud Island.

Hernando de Soto was a 16th century explorer that explored the Mississippi River and America. There are some legends that claim he was burried in the Mississippi River after his death. On September 5, 1986 the 200 lightbulbs where turned on for the first time. The lights are so bright they interfere with river traffic.
